East-central Illinois farmers are hard at it. The Fall harvest is well underway. And weather conditions have been near perfect so far this week.
Many farmers were harvesting Monday. Yields are reported pretty good, so far. Prices may be another story, but record yields are likely for both corn and beans.
And as the fall harvest continues, motorists are again being reminded to be careful on the rural roads. Slow moving farm equipment is the norm during the harvest.
