Former Illinois State Police special agent Brad Cluver will spend 60 days in the Ford County Jail and then spend 30 months on probation. That was the sentence handed down in court (Tuesday). Cluver was found guilty last month of calling 9-1-1 and reporting false assaults against himself.
The 61-year-old Cluver, of Gibson City, is a former special agent, having served State Police Zone 3. He resigned in 2002. The Ford County Record reports a judge ruled last month Cluver was guilty of making false reports claiming he was the target of assaults.
He was convicted at a bench trial for felony disorderly conduct. Judge Matt Fitton imposed the sentence after a bench trial conviction of felony disorderly conduct.
In Kankakee Court --
31-year-old Jesse Villagomez Jr. pleaded guilty to a 2014 murder. Villagomez was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the May 2014 shooting death of LeRoy McDaniel outside a Kankakee tavern. Villagomez also pleaded guilty to aggravated battery with a firearm and received 10 years. The Daily-Journal reports thre others were aso wounded in the shooting.
