FEMA to assist Iroquois County with flood damage assessment

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will visit Iroquois County early next month to assist with damage assessments. FEMA reps will be in nearly two dozen counties affected by recent historic flooding.

Governor Rauner says personnel from FEMA and other local and state agencies will begin assessing damage to homes and businesses early in February. Rauner says the information obtained during this process could be used to support a request for federal assistance.

The Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency, local government officials and the Small Business Administration (SBA) will work together in assessing homes and public infrastructure.
