Dr. James Finnell and Dan Garner were formally recognized by the Iroquois County Board Tuesday. A resolution cites "exemplary service" for the men during their service with the County animal control department.

Finnell, a retired veterinarian from Gilman, has served as animal control administrator for several years. Dan Garner of rural Crescent City has worked as warden for animal control. Finnell's retirement and Garner's resignation were effective in November.

Dr. Hany Youssef has been appointed the new Animal Control Administrator.
