Fire & Ambulance Districts share equipment upgrades

Fairbury, Limestone and St. Anne fire personnel received emergency response equipment and technology upgrades through the Fund for Rural America, Compeer Financial funding program. More than $200,000 was awarded to 53 Rural Emergency Response Departments in Illinois.  The departments received up to $4,000 to fund much-needed upgrades. The grants account for more than $6,000 to departments across Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The grants are intended to help volunteer fire, rescue and ambulance departments improve operational efficiency, safety and response times.

The Fairbury Fire Department received a new Hose.  St. Anne benefits from a Drone. And Limestone Township's Fire Protection District received Vehicle Stabilization Equipment.
