Fire Chief Mayotte honored by Illinois House of Representatives

Watseka Fire Chief Dave Mayotte received yet another pat-on-the-back.  The Illinois House of Representatives extended an "Atta Boy, Dave" (Saturday) with a House Proclamation. 

The proclamation presented by State Rep Tom Bennett formally recognized Mayotte for his recent homor having been named Fire Chief of the Year by the Illinois Fire Chief's Association.  The award is designed to recognize the chief's dedication and committment to the local community.

The state resolution refers to Mayotte's 30 yeras as a firefighter, his 15 years as chief in Watseka.  Mayotte is a professional firefighter with the Tri-State Fire Protection District, serving Burr Ridge, Darien, DuPage County.  He's also a trainer with the Illinois Fire Service and serves on the state's funeral committee for firefighters.
