The Ford County Board (Monday night) appointed Rick Flessner to serve as the next Ford County Coroner.

Flessner is from Roberts. He’ll replace Doug Wallace, who has served as coroner the last 17 years. Wallace is stepping aside January 3rd and relocating.

Flessner has served as chief deputy coroner since 2012 and as a deputy coroner since 2008. Flessner’s appointment runs thru November 30, 2018.

Flessner has served as Village President of Roberts since 2000. He’s a veteran member of the Roberts volunteer fire department and past supervisor with the Illinois Department of Transportation.
