The NWS has flood warnings in place for the Kankakee River at Aroma Park. The warning is thru 1 pm Thursday. Emergency officials have sandbags available (first come, first served). Find the sandbags at the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Complex. If needed, you’ll need to fill and haul the sandbags on your own.

There’s a Flood Advisory for the Iroquois River at Watseka thru early Friday morning. The Iroquois River Advisory is also for Chebanse and Newton County, IN. Minor flooding has been reported. The waterways have crested and are expected to fall below flood stage.
