Flooding concerns after weekend rains

River-watchers in Illinois and Indiana are keeping their eyes on waterways.  Rainfall amounts from Saturday thru Sunday ranged from a bit more than an inchy to five-plus inches.  Flooded roads and farm fields were the norm earlier today (Monday.)  Several routes and homes were flooded in Chicago-area neighborhoods.  The Willis Tower in Chicago was without power, due to flooding.  Com-Ed officials say they can't make repairs on Lower Wacker Avenue until flood waters recede.

A Flood Warning has been extended thru Saturday 5/23 for Sugar Creek at Milford and the Mazon River near Coal City. The NWS issued the extension thru 1 pm Saturday.  Sugar Creek measured 20.5 feet late Monday afternoon.  The flood stage is 18-feet.  Minor flooding is forecast.
