Flooding Update: Monday morning river-readings

Water levels are on the decline, but a Flood Warning continues on the Iroquois River at Iroquois and at Foresman, IN.

Observers report ice jams are a factor. The ice jams can result in rapid fluctuations in water levels with little or no warning. Residents in low lying flood prone areas should remain alert.

A Flood Advisory for the Iroquois River at Chebanse is now pushed up to a warning. Ice jams on the river have posed a concern along with the Kankakee River.

The Flood warning for Sugar Creek at Milford is cancelled. The water level fell below the flood stage Sunday afternoon.
