Illinois State Police is announcing some changes which is expected to make the FOID Care process more convenient  If the FOID care holder also has a valid Conceal carry License card, they'll be issued a combined FOID and C-C-L card. 

The goal is to streamline applying for and renewing your FOID card by issuing cards that don't expire.  When a current FOID card expires but the  C-C-L is still valid, the FOID card will automatically renew and no fee will be charged.
