The Ford County Fair crowned its new fair queen Monday evening. 19-year-old Kaiti Zbinden of Gibson City was selected by the judges, besting a field of seven contestants.

Kaiti is the daughter of Kelli Zbinden. Kaiti completed studies at Parkland College and will be a student at ISU in the fall majoring in Animal Industry Management.

The first runner-up and Miss Congeniality went to 21-year-old Mercedes Wise of Loda. The second runner-up was 19-year-old Kaitlyn Harders of Melvin.
