The Ford County Republican Central Committee and the Ford County Republican Women organizations invite Ford County voters to a Meet the Candidates event.

The event is set for Saturday, January 22, 2014 at the Paxton Civic Center. The public can hear what the candidates have to say from 2 – 4 pm.

The Illinois primary election is March 18, 2014.

The candidates invited include the three candidates running for Ford County Sheriff and the three candidates running for Circuit Judge.

Candidates for Sheriff include Paxton Chief Robert Bane, incumbent Sheriff Mark Doran, and Dennis Higgins, Ford County 911 and Emergency Management Agency Coordinator.

Candidates for Circuit Judge include Ford County State's Attorney Matt Fitton, Attorney Ellen Lee, and Attorney Ross Sorensen.

Ford County GOP Chair, Tom Bennett states "This should be an enjoyable afternoon and will give voters a great opportunity to learn more about the issues around the office of Ford County Sheriff and Circuit Judge.
