It’s happening again…Ford County officials are looking for a new administrator for the County Health Department. It marks the fourth such search in a little over a year.
Paul Abraham submitted his resignation and it was accepted by the Ford County Board of Health (Tuesday 11/19). The search for a new administrator begins, much to the disappointment of local officials.

The Ford County Chronicle reports Board of Health President Mike Short said Abraham was “doing a good job and we didn’t want him to leave.” The Chronicle’s report referred to Abraham’s letter of resignation, stating he wants to return to a long-term care setting.

Abraham’s resignation is effective December 20.

The departure is putting the health department in the search mode again --- the 4th time since former Director Lana Sample left the position in September 2023.
