The Illinois Department of Transportation is informing the motoring public that Road construction work on Route 115 begins next week. 

Weather permitting, construction will begin Monday between Roberts and Illinois Route 9.  It's a $7.7 million project will include patching, milling and resurfacing the road, and rebuilding the shoulders. Drivers can expect delays and intermittent lane closures; they should be prepared for slow and stopped traffic and allow extra time for trips through the work zone. When feasible, alternate routes should be considered.  

Expectations call for the work to be complete in July.
