Former Cissna Park official ordered to pay $100,000 +

A "judgement in default" ruling has been issued against former Cissna Park Clerk bookkeeper/collector Rhonda Sue Siebert. The court ruled in favor of the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association, ordering Siebert to pay $100,350 back to the village's insurance carrier.

Iroquois County Associate Judge James Kinzer entered a "judgment. "

The Risk Management Association had covered the village's losses from Siebert's series of thefts of a six-year period. The court judgment will reimburse the agency.

It was in December 2013,when Siebert pleaded guilty to one count of Class 3 felony theft. She was sentenced to two years in prison. Siebert was criminally charged one year earlier for stealing from the village through the use of a village-owned credit card, village checks and cash while serving as an appointed village collector/bookkeeper.
