A former Iroquois County teacher will spend the next 25 years behind bars after he reached a plea agreement for child pornography charges.  38-year-old Brett Sorensen was sentenced to 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for one count of child pornography depiction and 10 years for pornography/reproduce involving a victim under the age of 13. Both of these charges are Class X felonies, and the sentences will be served consecutively. He received credit for just under 500 days already served in custody.
As part of his plea deal, six additional charges Sorensen was facing were dismissed.

Illinois State Police investigated the case after a tip from the Crimes Against Children Task Force.  Sorensen was employed in the Central (Clifton) Unit 4 school district.
