The Champaign County Coroner's office reports a former Rossville man died from injuries received in a work related incident in Rantoul. It happened Wednesday at BRG Sports in Rantoul.

50-year-old James Cornelius of Rantoul died Thursday at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, according to Coroner Duane Northrup.

Northrup says Cornelius reportedly fell from a significant height while working at the sports facility. He was found unresponsive and died the result of head injuries received in the fall.

The accident is being investigated by OSHA, Rantoul Police, and the Champaign County Coroner's Office.
