Former State Rep to serve on Labor Relations Board

A former legislative voice for the 104th District will step back into a government role.  Chad Hays has been appointed by Governor J.B. Pritzker to serve on the state Education Labor Relations Board. The board is in charge of administering the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Act, which establishes the right of educational employees to organize and bargain collectively.

Members of the state board are prohibited from having any outside employment, so Hays will be leaving his current position as the executive director of Crosspoint Human Services.

Hays served the 104th district in the Illinois House from 2010 until 2018.  He left the position voluntarily. He previously served as the vice president and director of mission services at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center and as the mayor of Catlin.
