A former choir teacher is being accused of sexually assaulting a student in 2019. 42-year-old Nathan Bramstedt, of Oswego, was arrested Friday afternoon. He's charged with nine counts of criminal sexual assault and three counts of criminal sexual abuse.
Bramstedt is a former Watseka resident and gradudate of WCHS.
A news release from the Aurora Police Department and DuPage County State's Attorney's Office alleges that Bramstedt sexually assaulted a seventeen-year-old student multiple times in 2019 at Metea Valley High School. Police say the alleged abuse was uncovered when the victim reported it to police last year.
Bramstedt was booked into the DuPage County Jail where his bond is set at $500,000. An arrainment date is scheduled May 2.
