A search warrant was executed after an investigation by Indiana State Police leading to the arrest of a 36-year-old Fowler man. Jonathon Cavanaugh is accused of soliciting a child. He was also arrested for possession of meth and marijuana. The investigation began January 15 when the solicitation information surfaced.

The investigation revealed alleged attempts by Cavanaugh to solicit nude photos from a female under 14 years of age. A warrant for granted for a residence at 1323 E. 17th Street Fowler, IN, by a Benton County Judge to search for any electronic devices. Cavanaugh was taken into custody Tuesday. He was jailed in Benton County.

Trooper Stanton was assisted on scene by troopers from the Lafayette Post, Benton County Sheriff’s Department, and Fowler Police Department.
