Gas prices are still on a decline in the WGFA-listening area. Some communities have posted prices below the buck and-a-half range throughout Illiana.
Prices in Danville Monday were at $1.47. The national average price of $1.81 per gallon is the cheapest price since January, 2009 according to the Triple-A Motor Club.
Crude oil supply continues to outpace demand, helping push gas prices down. Triple-A says regular unleaded gasoline averaged $1.89 a gallon during January in Illinois. The price is down 11-cents a gallon from December 2015, and is 19-cents a gallon less than one year ago.
