In Newton Superior Court --- Garrett Kirts was sentenced to 55 years in prison for the strangulation death of a woman. Nicole Bowen’s body was found wrapped in a blanket, tied with cords and tape, in a storage shed in Kentland.
Kirts had been involved in a relationship with Bowen and another woman, Ashley Garth. who also faces charges for Bowen’s murder. The Delphi woman is charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and assisting a criminal. She’s yet to face trial. The 22-year-old Kirts murdered Bowen in March of 2019. Judge Daniel Molter imposed the sentence.
