The highest oil prices in four years have driven up the price of gasoline according to the latest report from GasBuddy.com.
The price of a gallon of gasoline has risen nearly eight cents in the past week in Illinois for an average of $2.60.
That’s more than the national average of $2.52, up three-and-a-half cents over the week.
GasBuddy reports the average price in Illinois is nearly 17 cents more than one year ago and more than 17 cents higher than one year ago. Nationally, gas prices rose nine cents during the month and 18.7 cents from one year ago.
