GCMS High School relocates after water main break

A water main break has forced school officials in Gibson City to relocate school classes today and maybe thru the week.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High school announced temporarily classes at Gibson City Bible Church because of the water main leak. Principal Chris Garard announced "the high school will be forced to repair our main water supply, which we have discovered is badly leaking somewhere under our building."

This water supply is a 4-inch main line.

Work will begin Monday and eventually will require shutting off all water, including the service to the school's boiler heating system. The relocation will take an estimated one to five days, he said.
