Illinois State Police say a single-vehicle rollover crash in Georgetown Tuesday morning took the life of a 71-yr-old man. Stephen Moore of Westville was identified by Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden.

State Police say their preliminary investigation found that the pickup truck involved was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 1 when it left the road near 9th street. The truck crossed the sidewalk and struck an incline in front of a residence, then struck a tree and overturned. State Police say the driver was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 8:30 am crash closed Route 1 til about noon.
