Fire crews responded to an apartment fire in Gibson City this (Thurs) morning. Traffic control has asked the public to avoid the area near 9th Street and Sangamon Av.
The fire had spread to a second building was threatening a third structure. Un-officials reports had everyone having escaped the building unharmed, but pets were lost in the blaze.  Several area fire units were on the scene. Firefighters were attacking from aerial units and additional water supplies were brought in.
