Gibson City area drug bust, four arrested

Livingston County Sheriff’s Police led a drug investigation (Monday) that led to four arrests. The four people arrested were allegedly part of what authorities called “a major drug distribution ring” in Gibson City.

In a press release, reports stated the Livingston County Proactive investigative unit conducted a controlled buy of approximately a quarter pound of methamphetamine at a park in Gibson City. The occupants of the vehicle involved in the buy were taken into custody by multiple departments and transported to the Ford County Jail at Paxton.

Two men and two women face Meth charges. Gibson City and Paxton Police and the Ford County Sheriff’s Department were involved with the investigation. A controlled buy was followed with a search warrant at two Gibson City residences and another in Loda.

In custody is Allen Burgin of Loda, Kenneth Koltveit of Gibson City, Tara Kall of Gibson City and Angela Rutledge of Hoopeston.
