The death of 44-year-old Timothy Robertson of Gibson City may lead to new charges against another man.

Robertson died Monday at Carle Hospital in Urbana. He had suffered severe head injuries eight days ago in a fight with another man outside an apartment building in Gibson City. Robertson had been in a coma since July 28th.

The man who allegedly punched Robertson causing the injury is jailed in Paxton on a charge of aggravated battery. 34-year-old Ryan Nibbe of Gibson City now has his case under review for possible new charges following Robertson's death.

Nibbe served prison time in the Illinois Department of Corrections for an aggravated battery conviction in Macon County.
