Dr. David Gill of Bloomington is running for Congress again, but unlike his four previous attempts, he's not running as a Democrat this time.  Gill says he'll run as an Independentfor the 13th District seat currently held by Republican Rodney Davis of taylorville.  Davis would be seeking his third term.  No democrat so far has announced plans to challenge Davis.  To get on the ballot, Gill needs to collect the signatures of 15,000 registered voters.
