Gilman: McDonald’s armed robbery investigated

A Wednesday morning armed robbery at the McDonald’s restaurant in Gilman has authorities in Iroquois County looking for two suspects.

Non one was injured when two masked men forced their way into the rear door of the business, just off Route 24, just before 4 am. The subjects, one black, the other of unknown race, were armed with semi-automatic pistols.

Sherriff’s Police report the manager of the restaurant was threatened with bodily harm if she did not comply. The suspects forced the manager into the office and forced her to open the safe.

The two suspects fled with an undetermined amount of money, leaving the manager shaken but unharmed.
