Criminal damage at the Iroquois West high school football field last week led to the weekend arrest of an Onarga teen. Eighteen year-old Moises Galvan is charged with defacing property. Gilman Police arrested Galvan Saturday.
It was last Thursday night when school equipment was spray-painted at the high school in Gilman. School officials were forced to get the graffiti cleaned up on time for the Iroquois West homecoming football game Friday night.

A hit-and-run in Watseka last Thursday night has police looking for the person who hit a parked vehicle on 9th Street. The vehicle was parked on 9th near Locust Avenue when it was struck. The driver left the scene. Anyone with info is asked to contact Watseka Police.
60-year-old Lawrence Walker of Watseka faces a DUI charge. City police made a traffic stop for speeding on E. Walnut Street. Walker was found to be under the influence. He was also charged with resisting a peace officer.
Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police arrested 44-year-old Keith Martin of Watseka for aggravated assault and domestic battery.
