The #2 seeded Glenn Raymond Lady Utes 8th Grade Basketball team defeated the #1 seed Judah Christian Tribe to win the IESA 2A Regional championship on Friday night.

Brianna Denault's steal and layup with 8 seconds left gave the Lady Utes the win 33-32.

Watseka was led in scoring by Jasmine Essington's 17 points and Ava Swartz with 10 points.

Watseka takes a 18-5 record to the Sectional at Salt Fork on Wednesday at 6:30pm vs. Paris.
