The annual Loda Good Ole Days celebrations is this weekend, Friday, July 25 thru Sunday, July 27th. The planning committee says the 3-day festival is growing some each year. And this weekend, visitors can enjoy a Saturday parade and a fireworks show.
It's the fifth year for the event, resurrected in 2010 as a pretty simple family-fun event. Now, committee member Jody Sanders says, it's featuring the parade, fireworks, musical entertainment and fish and chicken fry.
Craft and food vendors are part of the agenda too. Military veterans will be honored Saturday at 11 am. The Good Ole Days Parade begins at 12 Noon. There's also a car show and rock rodeo band.
Committee member Ron Gustafson says "our fireworks display is a pretty good show for a small town."
