Governor J.B. Pritzker has issued notice that flags across Illinois state buildings have been ordered to half-staff until the interment of former Illinois Gov. Jim Edgar, who died Sunday. The Illinois Department of Central Management Services announced receiving the notice that all persons or entities covered by the Illinois Flag Display Act will lower state and U.S. flags to half-staff.
Edgar died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 79. Edgar served as Governor from 1991 to 1999.
