Authorities in Kankakee County are revealing that one person may have died after storms hit Kankakee County Tuesday. The Kankakee County Sheriff's Office reports deputies were notified around 4:30 pm (Thursday) about a possible deceased person who appears to have been a victim from the damage caused by the tornado. The person was located  inside a damaged home in Aroma Park. The County Coroner's Office said the death is under investigation.

It's been reported since Wednesday that no one died in the storm.  Up to 10 people had been treated for minor injuries.  Rescue teams have been on the job and damage assessment crews will be working this weekend and for several weeks to come.  Clean-up crews are clearing debris.  The Kankakee County Sheriff's Office reports over 30 properties were destroyed and up to 300 sustained significant damage.
