(Chicago, IL) -- Governor Pat Quinn has signed a new law requiring all schools hold drills with police to be prepared for the possibility of school shootings. School districts are already required to conduct six different drills each year and the new law makes sure police are involved in a school shooting drill.
Quinn says schools can never been too prepared for a situation where a gun is involved. He says this will make sure schools work with police to be as prepared as possible.
