Cedar Lake, Indiana Police investigated a crash involving a 71-year-old man from Grant Park, Illinois. Thursday’s incident, around 11:15 am, has police reviewing video to determine how it happened.

Robert Pilkin, of Grant Park was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries after the crash at U.S. 41 and West 133rd Avenue, according to Cedar Lake police.

Officers found Pilkin had crashed an SUV into the front of the gas station building.

The building sustained extensive damage. The propane tanks were not damaged, and there were no leaks because of the crash. The area was evacuated as a precaution.
