Sheldon firemen responded to a house fire Tuesday afternoon in the 100-block of E. Main Street. Food left unattended on a stove sparked the fire, which resulted in extensive smoke damage. No injury was reported.
Firefighters from Concord, Donovan, Woodland and Kentland, Indiana also answered the call.
