A Dwight woman faces several traffic charges after a head-on crash (Saturday) on Route 47. Police report 31-year-old Kristen Geffs allegedly crossed the center line and hit another car head-on. The crash occurred at 12:30 am.

Grundy County Sheriff’s Police reported Geffs was southbound when she allegedly crossed into the opposite lane and struck a car driven by a juvenile who was northbound.
Two juveniles in the northbound vehicle were taken to Morris Community Hospital with severe injuries while three others in the Geff car refused medical treatment.

Police said Geffs was also transported to Morris Hospital where she was not cooperating. Police officials said Geffs blood alcohol level was more than three times over the legal limit. She was arrested for Aggravated DUI, Failing to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Improper Lane Usage. She was charged with four counts of Aggravated DUI Causing Great Bodily Harm.
