Much of central Illinois is under a heat advisory this (Wednesday) afternoon. Temps are likely to reach the low to mid 90s and that heat index may push toward the 100 mark.
If you’re working outdoors, be cautious. Take breaks and drink plenty of water. Health officials remind everyone to stay hydrated.  Also, never leave children or pets unattended in parked vehicles.
