Heavy Rain, Flood Threat bumped up

The National Weather Service reports the threat of heavy rain and flooding continues for Danville and parts of Vermilion County and beyond for Friday and Saturday. The NWS tracking system now shows heavier rains for parts of Iroquois County too. Two to four inches is forecast… from Thursday thru Saturday night. Some areas could experience heavier amounts of rainfall.

People in flood-prone areas should have plans in place. In addition to the rain, the Weather Service says there is also a possibility of 2 to 4 inches of snow – and maybe more – on Saturday and Saturday night across parts of central and northern Illinois.
