Foul play not suspected

An autopsy is scheduled in Kankakee Tuesday on the body of 40-year-old Joel Brueggret of Herscher. His body was found near Rock Creek at Kankakee State Park Monday.

Illinois State Police report crime scene investigators confirm the body was found just north of a bridge off Route 102. A passing motorist observed a body north of the park's main entrance around 2 pm. The body was found on a bed of rocks in the creek.

The Kankakee County Coroner's office was called to the scene around 2:15 pm.
Authorities do not suspect foul play.
