Semi tractor-trailers had a tough time in Sunday’s high winds. Trailers were lying on their sides along I-57 and I-80. One of the trailers toppled over near Ashkum; another near Peotone.

A building in Fowler, IN apparently collapsed, according to multiple eyewitnesses. Police were on the scene near a gas station on U.S. 52.

Canopy at Bradley business topples --

The canopy at the Circle K Shell gas station on South Kinzie Avenue in Bradley crashed to the ground Sunday. The business reported it was the high wind that collapsed the structure.

Bradley Police reported no injuries.

The National Weather Service reported wind gusts of 45-62 during much of the day. Isolated power outages and other utility services were interrupted.
