Three semi drivers escaped serious injury (Tuesday) when a chain-reaction crash messed up traffic on I-65 near Remington, IN. The drivers were treated for non life-threatening injuries. Indiana State Police reported a gust of wind sent one semi-trailer airborne, causing it to hit another semi. Both drivers lost control of their rigs and then hit a concrete bridge abutment. Several semis were traveling together when the accident happened about 3 pm. The crash closed the northbound lanes between Wolcott and Remington for several hours.
Troopers were forced to close the interstate due to multiple crashes involving injuries. Traffic was flowing again by 6 am today (Wednesday).
