It's an annual event, a family event that showcases farm tractors and equipment. Historic Farm days at Penfield (IL) opened Thursday. It runs thru Sunday and features a parade.
Antique collectors are showing off their tractors with demonstrations. The event has been held since 1978. Nearly 400 tractors are on display in several lots. Some engines date back to the early 1900's.
The event will also feature food, entertainment, flea markets and even a potato-digging demonstration. A sanctioned-tractor pull is part of the fun. And there's a fireworks show Saturday night.
Historic Farm Days is hosted by the I & I Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club.
