In Kankakee County Court (Wed)...24-year-old Andrew Langston of St. Anne was sentenced to four years in prison for leaving the scene of a hit-and-run accident in which seriously injured a 12-year-old boy.
Marcus James continues to rehab from the accident in May.
The incident was in the 600-block of Chicago Avenue in Kankakee. Witnesses to the accident included the boy’s Mom and her daughter. They yelled for the driver of the car to stop, according to the Daily-Journal.
The Journal reports, Marcus James gave a statement at the sentencing saying he forgives Langston and hopes they can be friends when he’s released from prison.
Langston was arrested in Johnson County, Ind., on unrelated charges.
