Since the start of 2020 to mid-last year, median home sale prices rose 42 percent, while the price of overall goods rose just 14 percent. Sam Huisache (we-saw-she) with Clever Real Estate says it has been a sellers market.  Illinois hasn’t been hit as hard as some areas of the country when it comes to housing prices.  In February, home sales plummeted in Illinois by 25 percent compared to February of last year, but prices have leveled off and did not increase throughout much of the state.
