A Monday evening shooting in Iroquois County has turned into a homicide investigation. The shooting victim died at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.  57-year-old Angela C. Taylor of Donovan died just before 9 pm. She was shot during what Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police said was some kind of disturbance near 2150 N Road, just west of the Village of Iroquois. The death is confirmed by the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office.

A person-of-interest in the shooting was jailed in Newton County, IN…having been arrested by Indiana deputies after a police pursuit thru parts of Jasper and Newton County.
Iroquois County (ICOM Communications) had earlier issued an emergency broadcast alert, looking for Nick Gregory – who was driving a red pickup and considered armed and dangerous.

Formal charges have not been filed.
