Hoopeston man sentenced to 10-years in prison

A 34-year-old Hoopeston man received a 10-year prison term in Vermilion County Court.  Skyler Burke pleaded guilty to a felony charge of intimidation.  He also received a 3-year prison term for his guilty plea to domestic battery.  The state presented evidence that Burke became angry with the mother of his children.  The argument turned physical and State's Attorney Jacqueline Lacy said Burke made threats tgain the woman, even threatening deadly violence, if police were contacted. Hoopeston Police also observed the victim being held against her will.  During his arrest, Burhe allegedly threatned revenge against the victim.
